Rick Dipietro unsigned

NY Islanders GM Garth Snow will not be allowed to negotiate with Rick Dipietro until Owner Charles Wang returns from vacation in 2 weeks. This is just an other example of the owner of the islanders taking way too much of a hands on approach with this team. This will scare other players from signing with the islanders in the future

It was believed at the time that Carter would come down to 2.5 million to sign with leafs...Leafs have never offered more then 2 million. My guess is that Carter has gone back up in his demands to pull toronto and/or detroit closer to around 2.5 million then the 2.0 million that has been offered. He is playing hardball to get himself the max deal available. Since July 1st however, carter has been viewing himself as a 3 million dollar a year player.

Very Well Put...im just a different guy reading your comment..
I just cant believe he can consider himself worth that much with only 1 season of chipping in the sedin twins garbage all year, dont get me wrong, Carter is a talented player on whatever team.. But come on...I think thats just a wee bit bull headed, and a little high in clouds, but im sure detroit is going to push... I just really hope fergusson jr (bad speller) will pull through..just give 'us' the fans, that little bit of hope that maybe Fergusson and the leaf organisation are really wanting to make a legit run for the cup...
Just my thoughts...
