According to the Boston Globe, The Bruins and center Patrice Bergeron are closing in on a new long-term contract. The deal should be finalized within the next week and should average out to around 3.5-4.5 million dollars a year.
(UPDATE: According to tsn.ca (http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=175013&hubname=), Boston and Bergeron have finalized a 5 year, 23.75 million dollar deal that averages 4.75 million a year.)

I dont get it. How much was Boyes signed for? They about the same but Bergeron maikng atleast 2mil more
