I have come across a Montreal/Pittsburgh Trade rumour. I have talked to some people and can say this trade will not happen and has not even been discussed. However it is interesting to ponder. Talk to anyone in the pittsburgh organization and they will tell you that Malkin along with Sidney Crosby and Mark Andre Fleury are untouchables. The trade was rumoured as follows:
Souray, Ryder, Ribeiro, Aebischer + 1st round pick for Malkin
For salary cap purposes alone, this trade would never happen. Pittsburgh cannot afford to take on 10 million dollars almost in salary.

the pitsburg can afford to take the salary of the new players (which is about 8 milion$) in fact they must spend a least 4 million$ because they are under the salary cap, this trade might happen very soon
