Eric Daze To Play This Year

According to Quebec Reports, Eric Daze wishes to play in the NHL this year. He could be a very productive gamble for any team willing to take a chance on a 6ft 6 forward with back problems. If healthy, Daze could provide a team with 25-30 goals for around .5 - 1 million dollars on a 1 year deal, maybe with incentives. I gotta believe the Leafs would be atleast curious into looking into him as an option up front. They showed last year with Lindros and Allison they are willing to give injured players a chance to prove themselves on 1 year deals

Hey, I checked the site and I could find no mention of the Daze story, and yes I am bilingual. I think Daze could be a good pick up for any team but he could also be a bust... Big Gamble, but hey, If ya don't gamble, ya ain't gonna win.

I think he would be a good gamble for the leafs given the cap situation. If Daze is healthy, it could also pressure Anson into dropping his price to something more reflective of his career numbers. And if it doesn't, at least Daze could be considered a legitimate winger for Sundin (if healthy and playing as well as he did in the past)
